Is Carmelaram's price premium truly justified?
Visited Carmelaram projects last weekend. Okay, I'll say what no one says: Is the property price premium truly justified for daily life? I'm in a 2BHK Bellandur, thinking 3BHK there. Commute ka kya scene hai Whitefield/Sarjapur ke liye? Log bolte hain peaceful hai, but traffic aur daily convenience ka kya? Already have a home loan. Change my mind.

I was in the same boat as you, U1! Looked at projects near Aavalahalli, thinking Carmelaram would be a good upgrade from my current place. The peace and greenery are definitely a pull. But then I did a trial run for my office in Sarjapur, and it took me almost 1.5 hours one way during morning rush. You're already in Bellandur, which is way more central for Whitefield/Sarjapur access. Unless your office is very close to Carmelaram, you're looking at spending hours in traffic daily. That premium is for the 'future development' and 'peace' they sell, not current convenience. Don't let FOMO get to you, think about daily grind.
Peaceful toh hai, agreed. But that price tag? Bhai, it's getting ridiculous. Daily convenience ke liye, you'll still need to travel a bit for good supermarkets or hospitals. Not everything is walking distance.
Totally feel you! Commute from Carmelaram to Whitefield/Sarjapur is a nightmare during peak hours, especially if you have to cross the railway gate. Believe me, I've done that stretch for a year. Peaceful toh hai, no doubt, but that peace comes at the cost of your daily travel time. Expect at least 45 mins to an hour for Whitefield.
