Is IT City Mohali ready for daily family living?
90 days since getting possession in IT City Mohali, and brochure promises vs ground reality ka gap ab samajh aa raha hai. Airport road connectivity is smooth, 15 mins to Chandigarh. Lekin basic groceries ya chemist ke liye roz 4 km car nikaalni padti hai. Night time mein roads abhi bhi thodi sunsaan lagti hain, and half the delivery apps show out of zone. Actually wait, Zomato recently delivery de raha hai, but options are very few. TDS level around 420 aaya tha last week, so RO filter quickly choke ho raha hai. Has anyone else living here faced this? Daily living kab tak properly settle hogi yahan?

Ye sunke lag raha hai rental pe hi rehna theek hai thode time aur. Has the street lighting improved on the main approach roads recently, or is that stretch still totally dark after sunset?
Is it better to stretch budget and buy near Rasulpur or fully developed Mohali sectors instead? Currently Mohali inventory prices are already up by 15-20% this year, so budget buyers like us are completely stuck.
Totally agree. Hum Manimajra me rented hain abhi and were planning to move towards IT City for fresh air and wider roads. But sunsaan roads aur 4 km door medicine dhoondhna mere budget aur mental peace dono ke against ja raha hai.
Rasulpur side bhi infrastructure develop ho raha hai par prices wahan bhi shoot ho chuke hain. Honestly agar primary concern budget aur daily convenience dono hai, toh ready-to-move secondary market flats in older sectors are safer even if society purani ho. New development areas me kam se kam teen saal ka buffer leke chalna padta hai settled feel hone ke liye.
Bro, exactly same situation mere cousin ki hai jo Saini Majra ke paas shift hua tha recently. Starting me sab broad roads and 15 mins drive dekh ke impress ho jate hain, but family living needs school, hospital, and bustling markets. TDS 420 is still manageable with an external pre-filter, but night time safety on those isolated stretches really worries me. Especially jab family ko akele travel karna ho.
Blinkit aur Zepto kab tak operational honge IT City side? That is my biggest worry before finalizing.

Airport road connectivity is great for office travel to Mohali Phase 8 or Chandigarh, but delivery boys refuse to come post 8 PM. Ek do local kirana walon ne WhatsApp groups banaye hain weekly delivery ke liye, par emergency me car nikaalni hi padegi.
Reading this literally made my heart sink, hum next month token dene ka soch rahe the yahan pe! 4 km for a chemist at night with kids and old parents is an absolute nightmare. Par ek baat batao, society maintenance ne commercial shops ya daily needs store ka koi date commit kiya hai kya?
Aap log Omaxe Ltd. ke projects me dekh rahe ho kya idhar? Unka HQ New Delhi me hai and established since 1987, toh brand name purana hai. But my friend shifted to their New Chandigarh project last year and same issue face kiya, basic daily market aane me almost do saal lag gaye the. Agar budget tight hai toh shift hone me jaldbaazi mat karo.

Lekin abhi ground reality dekh ke lagta nahi 2025 se pehle properly populate hoga. Meri toh sari excitement chali gayi ye TDS 420 sunke, RO service ka alag headache.
