Is real negotiation possible for Chandigarh flats?

Kids have finally moved out, so my big house in Sector 24C feels like a burden now. Looking for a compact flat, but the prices in Chandigarh are something else. Okay, I'll say what no one says: negotiation on new flats here is mostly a joke, right? Builders like Omaxe ya Sushma, they quote a price and stick to it. Matlab, kitna hi discount mil jaata hai? 2-3%? People glorify negotiation, but for an end-user like me, seems like it's just a waste of time. Am I missing something? Change my mind.

Totally agreed, bhai. Builders don't budge. I'm looking for a compact 2BHK and the prices are just insane. Negotiation toh chor hi do. It feels like they have a fixed rate card and that's that.

Haan yaar, tried with Omaxe in New Chandigarh, max they offered was a free AC. Kya hi fayda? That's not even 1% of the property value. My budget is already stretched.
