Is Sector 36 in Noida really that safe?

Sector 36 keeps popping up. Need at least a 3BHK, and my wife's priority is safety for the children. Schools nearby are important too, for the kids' school admission. Has anyone actually lived there long-term? Heard about stray dog issues sometimes. Is it generally safe at night? Am I the only one concerned?
