Is super area a total scam in Bengaluru?
Did anyone else feel completely ripped off by the super area concept here in Bengaluru? Just moved into my Keya Homes flat in Malleshwaram last month, and honestly, the usable carpet area feels so much smaller than what I calculated from the brochure's super area. It's like they add balconies and common spaces twice. Everyone glorifies new flats, but nobody talks about how much you actually lose in square footage after paying, say, ₹1.4 Cr for a 2BHK. Then there's the floor rise premium for my 4th-floor unit – was that even worth it for literally no extra space? Plus, the maintenance charges they sprung on us post-possession? Change my mind: super area is just a builder trick to inflate per sqft rates and make you feel like you're getting more. It's a huge hidden cost, indirectly.
