Did a site visit to Krishna Kunj last weekend, looking for a 3BHK for my family. My budget is around ₹90L, maybe a bit more if it's really worth it. My wife's priority is a good school for our kids and honestly, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the options. Has anyone here had experience with school admissions nearby, like with SNK or DPS Rajkot? How are the quality and distance for daily commutes? Also, are there good hospitals easily accessible for emergencies, especially specialist availability? I'm trying to figure out if the premium prices are justified for these facilities. What's the community feel like for families with children? Any insights on raising kids there would be super helpful. Thanks!

Yaar, this is exactly why I'm so confused. One side, the location is good, but then these practical issues like school travel and hospital access come up. The premium definitely feels high if you have to compromise on daily convenience for kids. I'd say, visit during school drop-off/pick-up times to get a real feel for the traffic. What did you finally decide, OP? Did you find any other projects that balanced these factors better?
The Rajkot market has been a bit stagnant lately, especially for properties in this price bracket. Builders are holding onto high prices, but demand isn't quite catching up. I've seen multiple projects similar to Krishna Kunj struggling to justify their premium. While the location is good, paying almost a crore for a place where basic amenities like good schools are a daily struggle for commute seems like overpaying. It's important to see if the appreciation potential matches the current premium.
My kids actually go to SNK. It's a fantastic school, but from Krishna Kunj, it's a good 45-minute drive during peak hours, especially with the school bus routes. We considered Krishna Kunj too, but the daily commute for kids was a huge deterrent for us. DPS Rajkot is slightly closer but equally competitive for admissions. You really need to plan well in advance, sometimes even a year before for the good ones. The community there is decent, lots of young families, but school commute is a genuine headache.
Regarding hospitals, U3, there's Wockhardt Hospital about 20-25 mins away, which is multi-specialty. Smaller clinics and general physicians are closer, but for serious stuff, that's the main option. The traffic near the main junctions can get bad, so keep that in mind for emergency access.
Oh, 45 mins is a lot! Are there any other decent schools closer to Krishna Kunj that people consider?
I think the area has potential. Connectivity to Ring Road is a big plus. Maybe the school distance is a trade-off for better overall development in the long run?
Bhai, Krishna Kunj ki location acchi hai no doubt, but ₹90L for a 3BHK wahan thoda zyada nahi lag raha? Main bhi first-time buyer hoon, aur budget mein bahut tight chal raha hoon. Schools ka toh pata nahi, but premium prices ke liye facilities bhi top-notch honi chahiye na. Kahin builder sirf hype toh nahi kar raha?
Exactly! Aur hospitals ka kya scene hai? Koi reliable multi-specialty hospital kitni door hai? Sirf clinic se kaam nahi chalega emergency mein. I heard kuch construction quality issues bhi aaye the unke previous projects mein, is it true for Krishna Kunj also?
Sahi keh rahe ho. Humne bhi wahan dekha tha, but SNK aur DPS Rajkot thode door pad jaate hain daily commute ke liye. Traffic bhi rehta hai Subah-sham.
