Did a site visit to Mahagun Mantra last weekend, really liked the layouts. Currently in a 2BHK in Sector X, thinking of upgrading. The sales team mentioned full power backup, but is it really for the whole flat or just common areas? Also, after a year or two, how's the construction quality holding up? Any seepage or major fitting issues?

The market is so unpredictable these days. Finding a good builder with consistent quality and fair pricing is like finding a needle in a haystack. Good luck to everyone searching for their dream home!
So, what did you decide, U1? Are you still considering it after all these comments, or looking at other options?
It's a tough call. Mahagun does have a mixed bag reputation, that's true. Mantra is ready to move, so that's a big plus compared to under-construction projects where delays are common. But always get a thorough independent inspection done before final payment. For ₹68-82L, you deserve good quality and no surprises.
My cousin booked a flat with Mahagun a few years back (not Mantra, but another project), and he faced a lot of delays. Construction quality was average, and they cut corners on fittings. Just sharing my experience, be careful.
Totally relate! My neighbor had issues with Mahagun's previous project. They promise a lot but deliver less. Especially with the common areas, they skimp on quality.
This is my biggest fear! Delays and then poor quality. What kind of corner cutting? Like cheap switches or plumbing?
Has anyone actually taken possession in Mahagun Mantra? RERA number is UPRERAPRJ1870, and possession was Sep 2019. Are there any major issues post-possession? Like, was the promised amenities delivered on time? I'm worried about hidden charges, builders are notorious for that.
Hidden charges are the worst! Builder always finds ways to sneak them in. Make sure you get everything in writing, down to the last penny. My friend got burned in a project near Ajayabpur with these 'extra' charges post-possession.
Haan bhai, I know someone who got possession. Amenities were mostly delivered, but maintenance charges are on the higher side. Construction quality is decent, not premium, but no major seepage reported yet.
I also visited Mahagun Mantra! Layouts are really good, agree with you completely. The location near Alpha I Greater Noida is definitely a plus point. But yeah, power backup question is crucial, it's a huge hidden cost if it's not full.
Honestly, ₹68 L – ₹82 L for a first-time buyer in this market feels a bit steep, especially with so many ready options in other localities. Are you sure you've explored other builders?

Bhai, Mahagun Mantra is Ready to Move, possession from 2019-09-30. So actual residents can tell you. Don't trust sales guys blindly.
Yaar, construction quality is always a gamble. My friend booked in Alistonia Estate, and after 2 years, kitchen fittings are giving up. Mahagun ka track record okayish hai, but always check reviews.
Full power backup for the whole flat is rare, bhai. Usually, it's 1-2 points per room, or just common areas. Sales waale kuch bhi bolte hain. Be careful!
