Mahagunpuram: What's the real daily grind like for families?

Mahagunpuram's school options are definitely a concern for us right now. We're upgrading to a 3BHK; kids are growing up fast. My wife's priority is a safe environment and good schools nearby. We visited a few projects. Prices seem okay, but I'm wondering about the actual day-to-day resident life. Is it truly safe for kids to play? Are the good schools nearby easily accessible, or is the commute a nightmare? Looking for real experiences there.
