Manesar – I'm really struggling to get a clear picture here. As someone in real estate, I see through the brochures, but buying for myself is different. They promise 24/7 water and power. Is municipal water supply actually reliable, or just borewell/tanker? What's the ground reality for power cuts? Anyone faced major issues?

Bhai, ground reality is tough. I bought a 2BHK in Manesar Sector 1 last year. Municipal water supply is a joke – it comes for maybe 2-3 hours in the morning, and that too with low pressure. Mostly relying on borewell and sometimes tanker for backup. Power cuts are also frequent, especially in summer. Generator backup is a must, but even that can't handle ACs all day. My electricity bill has shot up because of the backup.
U8, I can add to that. In my society, not too far from U3's, power cuts are almost daily during peak summer, sometimes for 2-3 hours at a stretch. In winters, it's less frequent but still happens. Generator backup maintenance is not cheap, plus the diesel cost is insane. Many societies charge per unit for generator usage
Thanks for sharing your experience, U3. This is exactly what I was looking for. So, essentially, the 24/7 promise is just on paper. How bad are the power cuts, like daily or weekly? Aur generator backup ka maintenance kitna aata hai?
Exactly my fear. I'm looking at properties near Badshahpur side, and everyone says borewell is the main source there. Is it even safe for drinking in the long run? And what about the quality? Worried about health and added costs.
Haan, borewell is a big issue. Filters will be a recurring cost, plus the health aspect is always a worry.
Totally agree with your concern about Badshahpur. Borewell water quality can be very inconsistent, and it's often hard water, which is bad for appliances and skin. We've had to install a softener, which is an added expense that nobody tells you about.
Totally relate! Builders ke promises toh bas promises hi hote hain. Manesar mein utility ka issue serious hai, especially for first-time buyers like us.
