Many 3BHK layouts are just glorified 2.5BHKs, watch out.

I'm currently in a 2BHK in Bellandur, thinking of upgrading. When checking 3BHKs from Prestige or Sobha, the carpet area difference often feels minimal for the huge price jump. Is the premium for a compact 3BHK over a spacious 2BHK worth it for future rentals? What's your experience?
