Metro expansion won't save overpriced 3BHKs in Bangalore
Vijayanagar — been looking at upgrading for a while now. We're currently in a 2BHK and seriously thinking about a 3BHK or even a small villa. My budget is around ₹2 Cr, maybe slightly more for the right place. We checked out some Prestige projects near Sarjapur Road, and Godrej in Electronic City, but the commute... ugh. Honestly, not sure if the price jump for a 3BHK is really worth it for the extra space compared to the hassle. With Namma Metro Phase 3 expanding, I'm wondering if areas like Yelahanka or Kanakapura Road might see better appreciation and connectivity impact in the next 5 years. Is it smarter to invest for future infrastructure benefits now? Already have a home loan, so EMI increase is a big concern. What are people's experiences with upgrading in Bangalore right now? Is the resale market healthy enough if we decide to move again?

Totally agree with the title! Metro expansion won't magically make these 3BHKs near Sarjapur affordable. Builders are just cashing in on the hype. ₹2 Cr for a 3BHK with a long commute? It's becoming impossible for salaried people like us. I'm also stuck in a 2BHK, thinking if it's even worth upgrading in Bangalore right now.
Bhai, totally agree! I saw a 3BHK near Whitefield, ₹2.5 Cr.
