Moved into Sector 14 last month, possession March mein mila tha. Pehle laga sab set hai but water supply ka scene thoda unexpected hai. Municipal water pressure bahut low rehta hai, RO ke liye bhi mushkil hai. Tanker mangwana padta hai kaafi baar. Aur parking... bhai, daily struggle hai. Evening mein toh jagah milti hi nahi, guests ke liye bhi problem hoti hai. Is this normal for established areas like Sector 14? Kya iska koi solution hai ya yeh aise hi chalta rahega? Any tips for someone new here?

It's a tough situation for first-time buyers. You save up, invest everything, and then face these daily struggles. Sector 14, being so central, should have top-notch civic amenities. It shows how much work is needed. For the OP, have you tried talking to your RWA or other residents about formal complaints? Sometimes collective pressure helps.
This is why I'm so hesitant to buy right now. Property prices in Gurugram are skyrocketing, especially for ready-to-move-in flats, but the basic infrastructure isn't keeping up. Builders are just cashing in. It's a buyer's market in terms of demand, but a nightmare in terms of quality.
U8, emerging areas like Baharampur Naya might have better planned infrastructure initially, but then connectivity and social infra become issues. It's a trade-off. My advice would be to thoroughly check the RWA's minutes of meetings for any complaints before buying, even in new projects.
Toh phir kahan dekhna chahiye? Koi emerging area better hai?
Sach mein, I thought I was the only one facing this. My friend recently bought a flat near Airport Road (Gurgaon side) and he's having similar nightmares with water supply. Builder promises municipal connection but then it's all tanker-dependent. Parking is a universal problem, I guess. Is there no way to hold these builders accountable for basic amenities they promise during booking?
U5, solution toh mushkil hai unless RWA strong ho. Sector 14 mein RWA ko pressure daalna padega civic authorities pe. For water, some societies have installed community borewells as a backup, but that's a big investment. Parking ke liye, agar society mein visitor parking ka provision hai, toh RWA ko strict rules banane padenge. Otherwise, no easy fix in established areas.
Toh phir solution kya hai? Tanker mafia hi chalta rahega kya?
U3, bilkul sahi kaha! My cousin booked in Basai last year, same story. They were shown a model flat with all amenities, but the ground reality is different. These issues are getting worse, not better. Accountability zero hai.
Bhai, Sector 14 toh kaafi purana aur develop ho chuka hai. Yeh small issues toh har jagah hain, especially in Gurgaon. You just have to manage.
Totally relate yaar! I bought in Sector 56 last year, thought it was an established area. Water pressure issue is common, especially in older lines. And parking, don't even get me started. Har shaam gaadi park karne ki jung hoti hai. You're not alone in this struggle.
