Moving to a compact flat: Amenity promises vs. reality
Kids have finally moved out, and we're selling our big house, don't need such a big place anymore. Looking for a manageable 2BHK, maybe at Shapoorji Pallonji Parkwest Cedar Tower 8 or similar projects in Bengaluru. My biggest worry is if the amenities they promise in brochures are actually delivered. Does anyone find the clubhouse and green spaces genuinely usable after possession? Or are they just ghost facilities? Also, how's the construction quality after a year or two? Any common issues like seepage or fitting problems? And do maintenance charges actually match the service quality?

Exactly my thoughts! I'm also a first-time buyer looking for a 2BHK in Bengaluru, and these fancy brochures always make me doubt. Are the amenities just for show? My budget is super tight, and paying for 'premium' facilities that aren't maintained well would be a nightmare. I've heard stories about clubhouses being perpetually under renovation.
Sahi keh rahe ho. My cousin bought a flat near Aavalahalli, and the swimming pool was barely usable for the first two years. Builder
