My Gaurs project in Nyay Khand: construction-linked payment nightmare
Since January I've been shortlisting flats in this city. My kids have moved out, so we're selling our big house and just want a manageable 2BHK, maybe ₹70L. We put money down on an under-construction project by Gaurs in Nyay Khand. Brochure showed quick possession, 2.5 years tops. Now, almost three years later, still no OC, and they're asking for extra PLC charges that weren't clear initially. The construction-linked payment plan is draining us. We're paying EMI on our loan *and* rent for our current place. It’s a huge burden, yaar. Honestly, they kept pushing for payments even when work slowed down. Not sure if we should have just gone for ready-to-move-in. Is this common with Gaurs projects? Did anyone else face such delays and hidden costs with their construction-linked plans in Ghaziabad?
