My Gurgaon home hunt: Are affordable homes a real investment or just a trap?
My lease ends in 3 months and honestly, I'm done with landlords. Finally taking the plunge, EMI vs rent math is making sense. I'm checking out Signature Orchard Avenue 2 versus Spiti Heritage Homes in Gurgaon. Everyone glorifies affordable options like Signature, saying entry point sahi hai. But honestly, for that price, is the carpet area efficiency even worth it? Matlab, kitna usable space milta hai after all the deductions? Sometimes the advertised rate is bakwaas. Spiti Heritage, though pricier, feels like it might give more bang for the buck in terms of actual space and build quality. Not sure if the lower price point of Signature really translates to better investment potential for a 5-year horizon, ya phir sirf paper pe sasta hai. I think the premium for better carpet area in Spiti could fetch better appreciation. Change my mind.
