My New Chandigarh first home dilemma

New Chandigarh keeps coming up every time I shortlist something. I'm eyeing a 3BHK, maybe Omaxe or Godrej, prices are touching ₹1.2 Cr for a good one. Honestly, are these prices justified for the area? My parents keep saying it's too far out, but I like the planned feel. What's daily life actually like there? Is the commute to Chandigarh city a nightmare or manageable? Not sure if it's the right move for a first property.

Yaar, same pinch! I've been looking at New Chandigarh too, especially Omaxe. The prices for a 3BHK are just insane, ₹1.2 Cr feels like a lot for a place that's still developing. My biggest worry is the appreciation. Will it really give good returns in 5-7 years, or will it stay stagnant because of the distance from main Chandigarh?
