My RERA doubts: Is it really safeguarding buyers?

RERA is great on paper, but I'm not sure how much it actually protects buyers in Chandigarh. I'm finally fed up of renting, eyeing a 3BHK near Aerocity. Checking Omaxe Gardenia Floors, their builder-buyer agreement had some tricky clauses. How do you actually verify RERA registration beyond just the number? Is the complaint process effective ya sirf paperwork hai? What red flags should I look for in the agreement? Has anyone successfully used RERA against a builder here after the recent Omaxe news?
