My Sector 55 rental shocker – what's happening?
Honestly, I'm shocked by how much rent has shot up in Noida. Just moved to Sector 55 last month, and the 2BHK I got is almost 30% higher than what my friend paid for a similar place last year. Matlab, this rent-rise is crazy. Is it justified? Will it ever stabilise ya aise hi badhta rahega? Thinking agar EMI hi itni ho jaati hai, toh buying option better hai kya? What are your experiences? Kya aapko bhi lagta hai rental market ab buying ki taraf push kar raha hai?

Yaar, ye sirf Sector 55 ka haal nahi hai. I was looking for a 3BHK in Sector 137 and the rates were insane. Last year, I saw a decent 3BHK for 25k, now similar ones are going for 35-40k. My friend who booked in Alistonia Estate two years ago is still waiting for possession, but even there, pre-rentals are being quoted at sky-high prices. It definitely feels like buying might be the only way out, but then again, interest rates are also high.
Sahi keh rahe ho. But is it really 'justified'? Builders toh apni cost badha denge, but salaries utni nahi badh rahi hain. Kya yeh demand-supply ka chakkar hai ya investors ne artificial shortage create ki hai? What's the scene in Alpha I Greater Noida for rentals these days?
Jo aapne pucha, justified toh bilkul nahi hai. Demand-supply ka chakkar zaroor hai, but investors bhi play kar rahe hain. Many properties are lying vacant as owners wait for better rates, which artificially reduces supply. Yeh investors ki wajah se hi hai.
Alpha I mein bhi same haal hai. A 2BHK is easily 20-25k now, used to be 15-18k just a year back.
Totally agree bhai! My landlord in Sector 76 just hiked my rent by 25% for a 1BHK. Lagta hai sab pagal ho gaye hain.
