Since last monsoon, I've been super worried about buying in Nampally. Everyone talks about the old-world charm and connectivity, but nobody talks about the waterlogging. Honestly, my parents keep saying older areas are more stable, but I saw videos of streets looking like rivers last year. Is the drainage really that bad, or was it just an unusual heavy rain? I'm looking at a 2BHK near the Nampally Metro, around ₹95L, but what's the point if my car floats away? Builders like My Home or Aparna aren't active there, so it's mostly older buildings. Should I just look towards Gachibowli even with the higher prices? Change my mind about Nampally's monsoon issues being a total deal-breaker.

Totally get your concern, OP! I saw those Nampally videos too and immediately started rethinking my budget for that area. My parents also keep pushing for older, established areas saying they're 'safe investments', but what's safe if your ground floor apartment gets waterlogged every monsoon?
