My lease ends in 3 months and I'm really trying to finalise a 2BHK in Sarjapur Road. Looking at projects from Prestige Group and Chaitra Constructions, but not sure kitna negotiate kar sakte hain. Builders toh bolte hain 'fixed price', but kya sach mein negotiation possible nahi hai Bangalore mein? Matlab, kitna realistically knock off karte hain log? My friends say 5-10% tak bhi possible hai, but I'm skeptical. Also, I've heard horror stories about hidden charges. Possession ke time pe kuch unexpected cost aate hain kya? Like 'infrastructure development charges' or extra PLC jo pehle nahi bataya tha. Mera budget ₹1.2 Cr max hai, toh har extra lakh matter karta hai. Any first-hand experiences with this? Don't want any last-minute surprises, yaar.
