posted on 10 MayNew Chandigarh homebuyers: how did you handle the final bill shock?
₹1.8 crore for a 3BHK in Omaxe New Chandigarh was the final bill, not the quoted price. Seriously, just moved in last month, aur abhi tak sir ghoom raha hai. Initial quote toh ₹1.5 Cr ke aas paas tha. But then PLC, parking, stamp duty, registration, aur phir possession ke time interiors ke charges itne badh gaye. Super area ka chakkar toh alag hi tha, they showed us 1800 sqft but carpet area barely 1200 nikla. Lagta hai builders bas pehle kam dikhate hain, aur phir hidden charges daal dete hain. Kisi ne bataya nahi ki ye sab extra lagta hai, ya fir kitna negotiation possible hai. Aap logon ne kaise manage kiya ye all-in costs? Kya koi real way out hai ya yeh normal hai Chandigarh mein?

Yaar, ye toh standard practice ban gaya hai lagta hai. Mere saath bhi same hua. Zirakpur mein ek project dekh raha tha, quote kuch aur tha, aur jab final calculation pe aaye toh 20% extra. PLC, EDC, IDC, club membership, wiring charges... list chalti jaati hai. Lagta hai first-time buyers ko phasaane ka tareeka hai. Koi batao, kya ye sab charges negotiable hote hain ya fir builder jo bolta hai, wohi final hota hai?
