New Chandigarh's family life is held back by missing essentials.
New Chandigarh's promise of a planned future feels incomplete without better schools and hospitals, tbh. I'm finally fed up of renting, landlord hiked rent again, so taking the plunge for a 3BHK around ₹1.5Cr. Looked at projects by Omaxe and DLF, prices are decent for my budget, some 3BHKs are around ₹1.2Cr-₹1.8Cr. But my biggest hang-up is the daily reality for families. For those living there, how's the school run? Are the good schools actually accessible, or is it still a long commute back to older sectors? Same for hospitals – is emergency care reliable? Or will I be driving long distances for specialists? I'm worried about these essential services. Any real resident experiences on this? Is the upcoming development going to change this soon?
