Nigdi for families: Is it really all it's hyped up to be?
My wife and I are seriously looking at upgrading from our 2BHK, and Nigdi keeps popping up. We need at least a 3BHK for our growing family, and kids' school admission next year is a massive factor. Budget's around ₹90L-₹1.1Cr. Everyone glorifies Nigdi for its commercial vibe and connectivity, but honestly, I'll say what no one says: I'm really skeptical about its actual livability for families. Is it genuinely good for daily life with young children? I'm hearing mixed things about school quality and admissions; are the best schools impossible to get into, or is it just the older ones that are decent? My wife's priority is safety for the children, and I'm not entirely convinced about the neighborhood character beyond the main roads. Is it just an old-school area trying to keep up, or does it genuinely offer a good, safe environment for kids to grow up? Change my mind.

Yaar, I totally get where you're coming from. Nigdi ka hype toh bahut hai, especially for investors, but for families? I'm not so sure. My cousin lives there, and he constantly complains about the traffic, especially during school timings. Plus, the property prices for a decent 3BHK are touching 1.1 Cr easily now, which feels a bit much for an area that still struggles with basic infrastructure in some pockets. What about schools? Are they really that great, or is it just a couple of old, established ones that are impossible to get into?
