posted on 8 AprNoida Authority to Cancel Ownership of Vacant Plots
Did you know the Noida Authority is planning to reclaim plots that have been lying vacant for over 12 years? Apparently, they want to free up land to meet the growing demand for housing and generally make the city look nicer. What this means for us is that if you own a plot in Noida and haven't built on it, you might be at risk of losing it. On the flip side, if you're looking to buy property, this could mean more options becoming available as the Authority reallocates these plots. If construction is underway, you have six months to complete the project. Is this a good move that will bring more housing options, or bad news for plot owners who were waiting for the right time to build? What do you think?

Totally agree yaar. Noida mein yahi problem hai, policies change without proper consultation.
Has anyone actually seen this notice from the Noida Authority? Is there a link?
Hopefully, this will make Noida cleaner and more organized. Vacant plots are often used as dumping grounds.
So, what's the next step? Should plot owners be contacting the Noida Authority to clarify their situation?
Overall, I think it's a risky move. It could backfire if not implemented properly. Let's wait and see what happens.
Sector 150 ka avg rate 7k/sqft hai abhi. I wonder if this will bring it down.
I am an NRI looking to invest in Noida. Which sector would you guys recommend for long-term appreciation?
U18, Sector 150 and 143 are good options. They are well-planned and have good connectivity. But rates are high.
What about the farmers whose land was acquired? Will they get any benefit from this?
I think it's a harsh decision. People have their reasons for not building immediately. They should consider extending the deadline or offering alternative solutions.
I think it's a good move in principle. Noida needs more housing, especially affordable options. But the implementation will be key.
Mera bhi same experience tha 2 years ago. I was planning to build, but then the builder vanished with my money! Now I'm stuck with an empty plot and a huge loan.
Anyone know what happens if construction is partially complete? Like, foundation is done but nothing else?
U14, the post says you have six months to complete the project. So, you need to expedite construction.
This could be a good opportunity for small builders. They can buy these reallocated plots and develop affordable housing projects.
I think it's a mixed bag. It will definitely increase the supply, but what about the infrastructure? Noida already struggles with traffic and water supply.
Bhai, this is just another way for the Authority to make money through reallocation. They'll resell the plots at inflated prices.
U7, exactly my thoughts. It's all about revenue generation. They don't really care about us middle-class people.
I bought a flat in Supertech Emerald Court years ago and still fighting for possession. Will this actually help or just create more problems?
Does this apply to commercial plots as well? I have a small shop plot in Sector 18 that's been vacant.
U10, I believe it applies to all types of plots. You should check with the Noida Authority directly.
Finally! Land mafia aur inactive plot holders ki vajah se development ruka hua hai. Good move Noida Authority!
Are you sure about this? I bought a plot in Sector 151 a few years back. Haven't started construction yet due to some financial issues. 12 years is a bit too strict, isn't it?
U2, exactly my concern! I bought in 2015. I understand the intent but they should have a more lenient policy. Maybe 15 years?
This is great news for buyers like me! Hopefully, prices will come down a bit. Abhi toh Sector 75 mein bhi rates sky high hain.
