Did anyone else realize you can claim Stamp Duty in 80C for a new property purchase? I'm upgrading from my 2BHK in Sector 89 to a 3BHK in Noida Extension. My CA mentioned this for my Pks Buildmart booking. It's a significant saving on my new home loan interest. Many miss this hack. Hope this helps!

Sach mein! Builders toh bas sapne dikhate hain. Mera bhi project Alpha II Commercial Belt ke paas hai, aur abhi tak kuch khaas progress nahi dikh raha. Ye tax hack toh theek hai, par pehle ghar toh mile time pe!
Sahi kaha, builder ki promises bas promises reh jaati hain. RERA ka bhi dar nahi raha ab toh. It's a mess out
I totally get the frustration about delays. It's a major pain point for all of us first-time buyers. But coming back to the 80C point, it's still a genuine saving, even if the overall experience is stressful. We should definitely utilize every legitimate tax benefit possible. It helps offset a small part of the mental and financial burden these property purchases bring.
While the 80C point is valid, I'd caution everyone about Noida Extension market conditions right now. Prices have shot up quite a bit, and many projects are still delayed. I booked a flat near Ajayabpur two years ago, and possession date has been pushed twice. Make sure to check the builder's RERA status and track record thoroughly before booking, especially for Pks Buildmart or any other builder promising quick possession.
U8, I'm talking about the XYZ project (don't want to name and shame too much here). Compensation? Haha, they just send generic emails about 'unforeseen circumstances.' It's like talking to a wall. The market is tough for buyers right now.
Which project are you talking about near Ajayabpur? Kya builder ne koi compensation offer kiya?
Yes, this is absolutely true! My CA also advised me on this when I bought my flat in Alpha I, Greater Noida last year. You can claim stamp duty and registration charges under 80C, up to the 1.5 lakh limit, but only in the year the property is acquired. It's not for every year like principal repayment. It helped me save a good chunk, especially since I had just started my home loan.
Are you sure about this? I thought 80C is only for principal repayment. Stamp duty ka deduction kaise mil sakta hai? Builders aur CAs toh bahut kuch bolte hain, but ground reality kuch aur hoti hai. Any official source for this?
Exactly! Mera CA ne bhi same bataya. But only for self-occupied property, not for investment property. This is a common confusion.
Haan bhai, this is absolutely true! It's under Section 80C, specifically for stamp duty and registration charges. But yes, only in the year of purchase. It's usually a one-time deduction. My builder, Pks Buildmart, also confirmed it when I asked them about the charges. It's legitimate, but often overlooked.
Wow, yaar! This is a game-changer! Mera CA never mentioned this. I'm also looking at a 3BHK in Noida Extension, near Alistonia Estate. This could seriously help with my budget. Thanks for sharing!
