posted on 5 MayNoida Extension infrastructure claims are misleading
Since January I've been checking out flats in Noida Extension, and Sector 78 is on my shortlist. Brokers promise 24/7 water and power, but my parents keep saying to verify. What's the real situation for water supply and power reliability here? Is it mostly municipal water or borewell? How often are power cuts, and do DG backups actually work well?

Dekho, I booked a flat near Alpha I Greater Noida a couple of years back, thinking it's all part of the 'Greater Noida' promise. The water situation there is a mess. Initial promises were municipal water, but for months we relied on borewell. The quality was terrible, yellow-ish water sometimes, and our appliances suffered. Had to install expensive RO filters and water softeners. Sector 78 might be newer, but don't take their word for it. Dig deep, talk to residents.
Haan, that's what I'm worried about. Is municipal water even an option in most of these societies in Noida Extension, or is it just a pipe dream?
Exactly! My cousin lives in a society in Alpha II, and it's the same story with water. They get municipal supply for maybe an hour or two in the morning and evening, बाकी टाइम borewell hi chalta hai. It's a huge hidden cost if you have to manage your own water treatment.
Yaar, I'm so confused! Since January I've been checking out flats in Noida Extension, and Sector 78 is high on my shortlist. Every builder and broker promises 24/7 water and power, no issues at all. But my parents, bless their hearts, keep telling me, 'Beta, paper pe sab accha lagta hai, ground reality check karo.' So, what's the real situation for water supply and power reliability here? Is it mostly municipal water or borewell? How often are power cuts, and do those fancy DG backups actually work well, ya bas naam ke hain?
Totally agree with your parents! Builders will say anything to close a deal. Ground reality is often very different.
Bhai, you're not alone! I'm also looking in the same area and have heard similar mixed signals. The fear of unexpected power cuts and no water is real, especially with a small child. It's so hard to trust what the sales reps say.
