Noida property: Amrapali nightmares vs new builder risks?

Is it actually worth buying under construction in Noida? I'm fed up of renting. Heard horror stories about Amrapali... are new builders any better with on-time delivery now? Honestly not sure if I should risk it or just keep paying rent. What's the real deal with hidden charges popping up at possession, especially PLC?
