NRI investment in Rajkot: things I wish I knew sooner
Just moved into my 3BHK near Kalawad Road, possession was in March. Bought it from abroad last year, thought I did all my checks. Honestly, things nobody told me about dealing with local agents and post-purchase. Made sure the builder, Balaji Group, had a good rep, but getting clear title deeds and OC verified remotely was a hassle. My lawyer here found some small issues that needed fixing even after RERA. Also, the actual maintenance costs for my place are higher than what they showed, especially for parking and common area facilities near 150 Feet Ring Road. Is it just me, or is the ground reality always different for NRIs? What else should I be looking out for now that I'm here? Any tips for dealing with property taxes or rental management for NRIs?

Yaar, totally feel you. Mera bhi same experience raha hai with agents once you're not physically present. They promise the moon, but ground reality is something else. Balaji Group ka naam suna hai, but yeh title deed aur OC ka issue sunke darr lag raha hai. I'm also looking for a 2BHK near Kalawad Road, so this post is very timely.
Sahi baat hai bhai, agents are the biggest headache. Maintenance costs toh hamesha lowball karte hain, baad mein pata
