After years of paying rent, I'm finally taking the plunge in Gurgaon. For my NRI friends, one thing I found out is crucial: don't just rely on online reviews for builders like M3M or Godrej. Seriously, ek trusted local person ko bhejke physical site visit karwao, even for projects on Golf Course Extension Road. Pictures can be misleading, aur construction quality on ground is often different. Also, make sure your power of attorney is solid. It saves so much hassle later. Hope this helps someone not make a costly mistake.

Yaar, exactly! NRI hone ka disadvantage hai ki we can't be there physically. My biggest fear is getting scammed or ending up with a project that's nothing like what was promised. How do you even find a 'trusted local person'? Agents toh sab apna commission dekhte hain.
Sahi kaha U1. For finding a trusted local, sometimes it's through family connections, or a very old friend. I found mine through my cousin who lives near Badshahpur. He verified the progress for a project there, saved me a lot of worry.
