posted on 5 MayNRI tax benefits for Hyderabad property, feeling lost
Spent the whole weekend researching Hyderabad properties online, especially around Gachibowli. I'm based in Dubai, and thinking of investing in a 3BHK, maybe ₹1.5 Cr tak. Honestly, legalities and tax benefits for NRIs are confusing, yaar. Heard about Section 24 and 80C, but how do they actually work for someone earning abroad? Is it really worth the effort to claim these? Also, finding a reliable property manager for rental income is a big worry. Any specific advice on maximizing tax savings or good property management services for NRIs?

Totally understand your confusion! NRI tax rules are a maze. But Hyderabad is a great choice
Bhai, Gachibowli mein ₹1.5 Cr for a 3BHK is pushing it, especially for a first-time buyer. Prices have really shot up there. NRI tax benefits are good on paper, but the paperwork is a nightmare. I know someone who spent months trying to get their HRA deductions sorted, and they were in India! For rental income, find someone reliable through word-of-mouth, third-party agencies charge a bomb and don't always deliver.
But the rental demand in Gachibowli is unmatched! Even if prices are high, rental income covers EMIs well. It's a long-term play, don't just look at the upfront cost.
Sahi keh rahe ho. Gachibowli prices are insane now. My budget was ₹1.2 Cr, couldn't find anything decent.
