NRI trying to buy property remotely — this is hard
Not proud of this but I almost got duped by a pre-launch scheme. I'm based in Dubai, trying to buy a 2BHK in Bangalore, maybe Whitefield or Sarjapur Road for investment. Can't do site visits myself, so relying on family with power of attorney. This whole legal due diligence part is giving me major headaches. Was checking out projects like Sattva Aqua Vista. But then heard about potential issues with some builders, like SLV Green Ventures' past. How do you guys *actually* verify a builder's RERA registration and track record? Matlab, just the number isn't enough, right? Are RERA complaints even effective, ya just paperwork? And title verification? What are the absolute must-do steps? I'm worried about clear title deeds, especially remotely. Koi red flags hain builder-buyer agreements mein jo sirf unko favour karte hain? Need real advice before I commit any capital. Bahut confusion hai.
