Old Gurgaon property: The hidden costs nobody talks about
Spent the whole Sunday checking out options in Old Gurgaon. Honestly, I work in real estate, but buying for myself is a different ballgame. Everyone glorifies the 'charm' and 'legacy' of Old Gurgaon, but nobody talks about the actual ground realities. The property prices here, especially for decent plots or older kothis, seem completely disconnected from the infrastructure. Matlab, narrow galis, parking ka daily battle, aur water supply ke issues – is it really worth the premium? I know what builders don't tell you, but Old Gurgaon has so many legal tangles, land disputes over ancestral property. Clear title milta bhi hai ya bas paperwork mein? Resale market mein bhi bohot hassle lagta hai, with so many old properties and unresolved issues. Yeh sab marketing brochures mein nahi likhte. What about the hidden costs of getting all docs in order? Change my mind. Disagree? Tell me why.

Totally agree. My agent was pushing
Bhai, you hit the nail on the head! Exactly my experience looking near Basai. Prices are insane for what you get.
Basai area is notorious for this. Plus, power cuts are still a thing there, which feels so backward for a city like Gurgaon. Infrastructure development seems to have completely ignored these older pockets.
