Older Rajkot homes sell for a pittance
Okay, I'll be honest — selling our old place and finding something new in Rajkot has been way more complicated than I thought. Kids have moved out, so we don't need such a big place anymore. We're looking at a compact 2BHK, maybe around Kalawad Road or near 150 Feet Ring Road, something manageable with an elevator and close to a good hospital. My biggest surprise has been the resale value of our current 3BHK near Krishna Kunj. Brokers are quoting so low, around ₹75L, saying the market isn't as hot for older, larger independent houses. This is a bit less than I expected, tbh. Is the resale market for independent homes really that sluggish in Rajkot right now? Or are they just trying to lowball us? We need that money to fund a new flat, maybe from Balaji Group or Madhav Group. Any tips on getting a fair price for an older property?

Oh man, I totally feel you! We're also looking to upgrade from a 1BHK to a 2BHK near 150 Feet Ring Road, and the prices for new flats are just insane. And then to hear about your old place getting such a low quote? It makes me so nervous about our future resale value too. Brokers always try to lowball, especially if they sense urgency. Have you tried getting quotes from multiple independent agents, not just the big firms?
