Peenya daily life isn't for the faint of heart.
Just moved into a 2BHK here a couple of months back, thought it'd be ideal for work near the industrial area. Budget was around ₹90L, which felt okay for the space. We looked at places further out on Tumkur Road but commute would've been a nightmare, even with the metro. Honestly, living here is a mixed bag. The metro is a lifesaver, no doubt, but last-mile connectivity from the station is still a struggle. What's really hitting us is the water situation; our borewell runs dry faster than expected. We're relying on tankers way too much. Is this normal for Peenya, or just our society? Wondering if others in Peenya face similar water issues? And what about the general vibe? Sometimes it feels a bit... industrial, not very residential. Any long-term residents have tips for managing or any insights on future developments that might improve things?

Oh man, I was just looking at properties in Peenya for my first home, and this is exactly what I'm worried about. The water situation is a common complaint everywhere in Bangalore, but hearing it's that bad even with borewells in Peenya is concerning. Humne socha tha ki industrial area mein infrastructure acha hoga. Thanks for sharing, this is a real eye-opener.
Totally agree with you. My broker was pushing Peenya Extension but I had a gut feeling about water. Glad I
