Pre-launch pricing is mostly a marketing gimmick

Just moved into my 2BHK in Sector 22 Yamuna Expressway a couple of months back, Divyansh Infraheight project. Possession was in March, finally settled. My journey started looking for a good investment, thought pre-launch would be the golden ticket. Broker ne bahut push kiya ki tabhi book karo, price won't get better. I went for it, thinking I'm getting an early bird discount. But now, seeing the market, I'm genuinely wondering, did I really get a discount in pre-launch? Or was it just a marketing gimmick to get funds? People who waited, did you find better deals later or was the pre-launch price actually competitive? Matlab, pre-launch pricing vs open-market price, which is smarter for ROI?
