Prestige City buyers: Your legal advice needed
Prestige City, Sarjapur Road - looking at a 2BHK here, finally taking the plunge after years of renting. Fed up of my landlord raising rent again, decided to buy. But yaar, Bengaluru mein builders ka track record sunke darr lagta hai. How do you guys actually check RERA registration? Like, beyond just seeing the number on the site. Are there specific red flags to look for in the RERA portal data? Heard about Prestige Group projects sometimes having delays, so wanna be super careful. EMI vs rent math abhi settle ho raha hai, but legal side pe thoda unsure hoon. If builder defaults on possession date, what are our real legal options under RERA? Matlab, compensation kitna milta hai, aur process kitna lengthy hai? Also, delayed OC ka kya scene hai? Can they give possession without OC, and is it safe to take it? Don't want to get stuck later with property tax issues. Anyone faced this with Prestige or other big names? Your experiences and advice would be really helpful.
