Budget finalized for a Prestige City 2BHK. RERA checks are confusing. How do you verify builder RERA registration and spot red flags for delays? Is RERA actually effective for complaints?

Dekho, RERA has definitely brought some transparency, no doubt. But it's not a magic bullet. For first-time buyers, it's crucial to not just check registration but also read the fine print of the RERA documents. Look at the proposed completion date, and how many times it has been revised for other projects by the same builder (if any). Given the current market conditions in Bengaluru, especially with rising interest rates, you don't want to be stuck with a delayed project. Always consult a legal expert before signing anything, especially when the builder info itself is hazy.
Main bhi confused ho gaya. Prestige City is a huge project by Prestige Group, right? Are you sure you're not getting scammed by someone using a similar name? What's the exact project name on your booking documents? Please double-check, this sounds very off.
Did you search for the project name 'Prestige City' on RERA, or for the builder 'Keya Homes'?
Meri ek friend ke saath bhi aisa hua tha near Aavalahalli. Builder ne 'Green Meadows' bolke becha, but original 'Green Meadows' kisi aur ka tha. Later pata chala ki uska RERA registration hi fraud tha. Please be extra vigilant, bhai.
Exactly! Prestige City is a flagship project of Prestige Group, not Keya Homes. If someone is selling you a 'Prestige City' by 'Keya Homes', it's a huge red flag for fraud. They might be trying to ride on the reputation of a bigger builder. Check the RERA ID, it should clearly state the developer. Don't fall for marketing gimmicks, especially with such a big investment.
RERA ka effectiveness toh hit-or-miss hai, honestly. My cousin booked a flat in Agrahara Layout, the builder delayed it by almost 2 years! RERA complaint daali, hearing hui, but resolution aane mein itna time laga ki by then he just wanted out. Builders find loopholes, extensions mil jaate hain. Always check their past projects, if any. Builders with no track record are a big risk.
Bhai, Prestige City by Keya Homes? Are you absolutely sure about the builder? Because I've heard of Prestige City projects but they're usually by Prestige Group, which is a big name. If it's Keya Homes, that's a huge red flag right there. You need to cross-check the project name and the builder name very carefully on the RERA website. Sometimes smaller builders use similar-sounding names to confuse buyers.
Haan, I just quickly checked. Keya Homes shows 0 projects on the RERA portal. Zero! This is highly suspicious if they're claiming to build a 'Prestige City'. Be very, very careful.
Totally agree with this point! Builder ka naam sabse pehle confirm karo. Source kya hai aapka, ki Keya Homes bana raha hai?
Hey everyone, need some advice. I'm a first-time buyer and I've pretty much finalized a 2BHK in what I thought was Prestige City. But when I tried to look up the RERA details, it's getting super confusing. How do you guys actually verify a builder's RERA registration and spot red flags for delays? Is RERA even effective for complaints, yaar?
