Rajkot property buying: Hidden costs are a headache.
Buying property in Rajkot feels more complicated than it should be these days. Kids toh nikal gaye, ab ye bada ghar manage karna mushkil ho gaya hai, so I'm looking for a compact 2BHK around Kalawad Road or Mota Mava. I'm selling my old place, so cash flow okay hai, but I really want to avoid any surprise costs. Builders ke quoted prices achhe lagte hain, but I've heard so much about hidden charges that only pop up at possession time. Maintenance deposits, society formation fees, utility connections – kya kya hota hai? How do people factor these into their budget? Does anyone have an estimate of what percentage extra one should keep aside for these unexpected expenses for a 2BHK in Krishna Kunj, for example? Any tips on how to uncover these charges *before* signing anything? Should I ask for a comprehensive breakdown? Thanks.

Totally agree! Rajkot mein hidden costs ka scene bahut annoying hai. Builders bolte kuch hain aur end mein bill kuch aur aata hai. Hum bhi Kalawad Road pe dekh rahe hain, aur ye uncertainty bahut stress deti hai. Lagta hai sabko yahi problem face karni padti hai.
Haan bhai, same experience. Mere friend ne bataya tha ki builder ne electricity meter charges aur water connection ke liye alag se 50k maange possession ke time. Pehle kuch nahi bola tha!
