Rajkot's stamp duty is the real budget killer, not property price
Rajkot mein stamp duty aur registration charges ka kya scene hai for a 3BHK? I'm currently in a 2BHK near Kalawad Road, thinking of upgrading to a 3BHK or even a small villa on 150 Feet Ring Road. Already have a home loan, so trying to figure out the real all-in cost for a new property. Builders quote the base price, but the government charges are always a surprise. Recently saw a 3BHK from Maruti Group, around ₹85-90L. Agent bola stamp duty and registration upar se. Is it typically 5-6% of the agreement value for women buyers too, or is there some rebate in Rajkot? Last time I bought, it felt like a huge chunk of money. Ansal API ke projects mein bhi same rules hain kya? What about other 'hidden' charges with these government fees, like legal fees for documentation or OC related costs? Is it really just the 5-6% ya aur bhi kuch add hota hai jo end tak pata nahi chalta? Any experiences with this from recent buyers in Rajkot?
