Remote Bengaluru property buying has hidden costs
Possession was in March for my 2BHK near Sarjapur Road, aur abhi bhi kuch cheezein samajh nahi aa rahi. As an NRI jo abhi abhi move back kiya hai, I'm finding the ground realities a bit different than expected. Property registration mein itna time lag gaya, and maintenance costs toh alag hi level pe hain. My family in the US is also thinking of investing, maybe a 3BHK in Yelahanka or near the Peripheral Ring Road, considering the airport expansion. But after my experience, I'm wondering if buying from abroad without visiting is actually worth it. Kya kisi ko first-hand experience hai managing properties remotely? What are the biggest catches for NRIs buying in Bengaluru right now? Any advice on builders like Prestige or Sobha for remote buyers?

Oh god, this is exactly what I'm scared of! My brother lives in Dubai and is planning to buy a plot in Aavalahalli next year, but he can only visit for a week. He's relying on us for everything. What you're saying about registration and maintenance costs is really unsettling. I thought builders like Prestige and Sobha would be more transparent, but it seems like everyone struggles. Is it really that bad even with established names?
Totally agree with U1. It's not just
