My Indirapuram lease ends soon; landlord wants 35% more. Is this Ghaziabad rent hike normal everywhere? What's Vijay Nagar's rental scene like currently?

The Ghaziabad rental market is definitely seeing a surge, especially post-pandemic. I track property trends for my work. Average 2BHK rents in Indirapuram have jumped 25-30% in the last 12-18 months. Vijay Nagar is still relatively affordable, around 12-18k for a decent 2BHK, but infrastructure is catching up. Connectivity via NH9 is good, but internal roads can be bad. Demand is high because of affordability.
Thanks for the data! 12-18k for a 2BHK in Vijay Nagar sounds manageable compared to Indirapuram'
Wow, that's a big jump! What's the average rent for a 2BHK there in Vijay Nagar then?
My personal experience with Indirapuram rents has been brutal. Two years ago, I got a decent 2BHK for 15k in Niti Khand. Now, similar places are going for 22-25k! I moved to a smaller place in Abhay Khand just to manage the budget. Vijay Nagar might look attractive, but please check the builder quality and amenities. Bahut saare new projects mein finishing issues hain wahan.
Yaar, I'm facing the exact same thing! My landlord in Indirapuram also hiked by 30%. I'm seriously considering moving out. Vijay Nagar sounds like a good option on paper, but I'm worried about connectivity and safety. Is this rent hike just normal now, or are landlords just being greedy?
Haan bhai, it's pretty normal sadly. Indirapuram has become very expensive. For Ahinsa Khand 1, rents are also up, maybe not 35% but definitely 20-25%. Vijay Nagar is cheaper but traffic is a nightmare for daily commute to Noida/Delhi.
Totally agree! My landlord in Ahinsa Khand 1 just did the same. Is it the same in Ahinsa Khand 1 also?
