RERA complaints in Mohali — are they really working?

3 years waiting for possession on my 3BHK in Sector 82, finally got it in March. When I first looked at Shapoorji's project, the RERA registration looked solid, no red flags. But then the finishing delays hit hard after the initial timeline. It's so frustrating how builders, even big ones, keep pushing dates. I ended up filing a RERA complaint for the delay. Honestly, is RERA actually effective for getting compensation or just on paper? Anyone here had real success with RERA against builders like Emaar Amaris in Mohali for quality issues or compensation after moving in? Curious about your experiences.
