Okay I'll be honest — I completely underestimated how confusing this RERA process is. I'm based in Dubai and looking at Daniya Azad Residency, maybe even a Chouhan Builders project. Everyone glorifies RERA as buyer protection, but is it actually effective? My lawyer here says verifying RERA registration and the builder's legal track record from afar is a nightmare. Can't physically check documents. What red flags should I really look for on the RERA site? Or is it just a paper tiger, especially for NRI investors? Change my mind.

Totally agree with the original post. RERA looks good on paper, but for NRIs, it's a huge headache. I'm also looking at Chouhan Builders in Alpha II, Greater Noida, and it's impossible to get clear answers about their past projects' RERA compliance from here in the US. How do you even trust the information online?
Exactly! Mereko bhi Daniya Azad Residency mein interested tha, but RERA site pe details adhoori lagti hain.
Sahi kaha bhai. Trust is the biggest issue. For your question, I hired a local consultant just to verify RERA documents and visit sites. It cost extra, but felt necessary. Don't rely solely on builder's claims.
