posted on 12 MayReserved parking claim: just a marketing gimmick?
Since last year I've been checking out projects in Ghaziabad. Parking allocation ka scene har jagah confused karta hai. Brochure mein reserved parking likha hota hai, but delivery pe sab bolte hain lottery ya extra charge. Yeh Ghaziabad mein common hai kya? Fixed spot milta bhi hai after all that? Bahut frustrating hai, yaar.

See, yeh sirf Ghaziabad ka nahi hai, but yahan thoda zyada prevalent hai. My uncle booked in a project near Abhay Khand, and they were promised two parking spots. End mein ek hi mila, woh bhi open. He had to fight for months. The RERA number UPRERAPRJ7124 for Ramprastha Platinum Premier shows it's an old project, so maybe those issues were common then. New projects ka pata nahi, but lagta hai trend wahi hai.
Two spots promised, one delivered? Unbelievable!
Ramprastha Platinum Premier? Bhai, wahan bhi sunne mein aaya hai ki parking ka issue tha. Builders ka game hai yeh.
Is this specific to Ghaziabad or everywhere? I was looking at Ramprastha Platinum Premier in Indirapuram, it's completed, possession 2018 mein ho gaya tha. Wahan kya scene tha parking ka? Price range ₹1.1 Cr – ₹2.4 Cr hai, toh itni costly properties mein bhi yeh drama hota hai kya?
Yep, Indirapuram mein bhi builders yahi karte hain. It's not just Ghaziabad, but the smaller cities tend to have more such 'surprises'. Even for a completed project like Ramprastha Platinum Premier, the after-sales service on such issues is usually nil.
Haan, Ramprastha Platinum Premier mein bhi parking ka issue tha. My cousin lives there. They initially said open parking only, then after many protests, they allocated basement spots through a lucky draw, but some people who paid extra got preferential treatment. It's ridiculous for a project that expensive, ₹1.1 Cr – ₹2.4 Cr range mein yeh sab nahi hona chahiye. RERA number UPRERAPRJ7124 hai, but still, buyers got shortchanged.
Exactly! My friend booked in Ahinsa Khand 1, aur usko bhi same issue hua. Brochure mein clearly mentioned tha reserved parking, but possession ke time they asked for an extra 2.5 lakh for a 'premium' spot. RERA mein complain kiya tha, but nothing much happened. Builders know how to loophole these things. Bahut frustrating hai, especially for first-time buyers like us.
Exactly! And the RERA process is so slow, builders just use that to their advantage. My brother is also looking in Ahinsa Khand and is worried about this.
Oh no, 2.5 lakh extra? That's daylight robbery!
Totally relate, bhai! Ghaziabad mein toh yeh standard practice ho gaya hai. Builder bas attract karne ke liye likhte hain, baad mein sab rules change.
