posted on 10 MaySattva Lake Ridge residents — tell me about power backup
Honestly, picking a family flat is hard. We're looking at Sattva Lake Ridge. My wife needs reliable power backup for the kids. Is it full flat backup, or common areas only? What's the daily reality?

It's a valid concern for any first-time buyer. My advice would be to visit some of Sattva's already completed projects, if possible, and talk to residents there about their power backup experience. That's the most realistic way to know. Brochures and sales pitches are one thing, daily life is another.
This is getting complicated. Full flat backup ka cost maintenance mein add hota hai kya, ya separate charge hota hai? And does it significantly increase the overall EMI or property value?
U10 is right. And sometimes, builders install a system that's barely adequate for the total units. We faced this in our previous society. During peak summers, when everyone ran their limited backup, the system would trip or overload. The RERA documents might specify the total KVA capacity, try to find that out and compare it to the total units (897 here). It's a key indicator of how robust the system really is.
U9, usually it's part of the monthly maintenance. Builder doesn't charge for the system upfront, but the running cost (diesel, service) is divided among residents. It definitely adds to your monthly outgo.
Hyderabad mein garmi aur power cuts dono badh rahe hain. Mera cousin Alwal mein rehta hai, unke building mein backup hai but it's so noisy, aur diesel fumes ki wajah se balcony mein baithna mushkil ho jaata hai. Plus, generator ki maintenance bhi society charges mein add hoti hai. Make sure you ask about the type of backup (diesel gen, solar hybrid?) and its location. It's not just about 'if' it's there, but 'how' it works.
Dekho, Sattva is a decent builder, but 'upcoming' projects are always a gamble, especially with possession dates. 2028 Jan might stretch. Power backup needs to be explicitly mentioned in the agreement, not just the brochure. Have you checked the RERA documents?
U6, brochure says '100% DG backup for all common areas and limited backup for individual apartments'. 'Limited' is the tricky part. It usually means 1 light and 1 fan per room, maybe a TV point. For kids' online classes, you need proper power for a laptop, router, and maybe an AC if it's summers. I've seen projects where even the limited backup struggles if too many people use it simultaneously. You have to ask them for a detailed load chart.
Exactly! Builder ke brochure mein kya mention kiya hai power backup ke baare mein? Kitne KVA per flat? Yeh details important hain.

Yaar, 897 units hain, toh backup system toh robust hona chahiye na?
Sahi kaha U2. Builders ke promises pe toh bharosa karna mushkil hai. My friend bought in another project near Banjara Hills, they were promised full backup but it's always an issue during power cuts. AC toh chhod hi do, fridge bhi struggle karta hai. Sattva Lake Ridge ka track record dekhna padega.
Bhai, this is my biggest fear too! I'm looking at properties around Attapur, and everyone promises full backup but then it's only for lights and one fan. Sattva Lake Ridge is still upcoming, right? Possession 2028 hai, toh abhi se kaise pata chalega?
