Sector 14 Gurugram: Hidden infrastructure struggles?

Been renting for years and honestly, I'm fed up. Landlord just hiked rent again, so finally taking the plunge to buy. Looking at Sector 14, Gurugram. It's an older, established area, which I like, but I'm worried about basic infrastructure. How's the water supply there, mostly municipal or borewell dependent? And power cuts – are they still frequent? Is DG backup reliable in most societies? Don't want unexpected hidden costs. Anyone living there can share their real experience about these things?
