Sector 143A's connectivity hides a maintenance cost trap

Okay I'll be honest – I didn't fully research maintenance costs before moving here last month. I was so focused on the good metro connectivity of 143A. Travel time to office is amazing, tbh. But now I'm seeing the RWA isn't super effective. Monthly charges are high, and things aren't well-maintained. Anyone else feel this way? Is it just my society, or is this a general 143A problem? Also, how's the resale market here? If I wanted to sell in a year or two, would I even get my money back with these high maintenance fees? I'm honestly not sure if I made the right choice. Should I have looked closer at societies in other sectors?
