Sector 144 - Is it actually livable now?

Sector 144 keeps popping up as affordable, but I'm fed up of renting and finally want to buy. The metro connectivity seems decent, but what about the last mile? Is it autos only? Also, how's the water situation? Heard rumors about tanker dependency. Honestly not sure if it's worth the EMI vs rent math if I have to deal with water issues daily. Anyone living there now?
