Sector 144 safety concerns at night?

Sector 144 keeps popping up because of the schools nearby. My wife's priority is our kids' school admission. Need at least a 3BHK. I visited a couple of societies, and they seemed okay during the day, but I'm honestly not sure how safe it is at night. Has anyone lived there long-term and can share their experience? Specifically, is it safe for women and kids to walk around after, say, 8 pm? I saw a few stray dogs, too, which kinda worried me. Are there any garbage disposal issues? And how well do the RWAs actually function? Am I the only one who's a bit concerned about safety?
