Almost a year since I shifted to Sector 155, after selling our big house. Kids have moved out, didn't need such a big place anymore. But these maintenance charges! Honestly not sure if it's worth it. RWA is saying it's for security and upkeep, but I don't see it. Anyone else facing high maintenance costs here? Is it normal, or are we being ripped off? What did you do?

Rising inflation is also a factor. Everything is getting more expensive, including maintenance.
So, U1, what are you planning to do? Move? Negotiate?
Ultimately, it's about balancing cost and benefit. Is the security and upkeep worth the price? If not, time to explore other options.
ABC Builders? Run! Their track record is terrible. Multiple delayed projects.
Totally agree. ABC Builders are known for poor construction quality too.
Before blaming the RWA completely, check the actual expenses. Security guards, cleaning staff, lift maintenance – it all adds up.
Guys, Noida Authority also charges some fees for external maintenance, right? That might be included in your RWA bill.
Has anyone tried comparing maintenance charges with other societies in the same sector? That could give you a benchmark.
RERA mein complaint karo! If you feel you're being overcharged, that's your right.
Maintenance charges are a pain, but honestly, security is important. Especially with the increasing crime rate in Noida.
I heard the new metro line extension will pass through Sector 155. Property prices will go up, so maybe the high maintenance is worth it in the long run?
It's ABC Builders. And yes, I attend the RWA meetings, but it's always the same story – 'expenses, expenses'.
Mera bhi same experience tha 2 years ago. High maintenance, poor services. We formed a residents' welfare association and started managing things ourselves. It's a lot of work, but worth it.
RWA meetings attend karo! That's the only way to get your voice heard. Nahi toh yeh log apni manmani karte rahenge.
Which builder is this by the way? Some builders are notorious for overcharging on maintenance.
Good point. Builder ka naam batao, U1. Maybe we can share experiences.
Haan, builder ka naam toh batao. Builder reputation matters a lot.
Anyone know what the average maintenance charges are in Sector 78? Thinking of investing there.
Sector 78 is becoming expensive yaar. Even renting is costing a bomb.
Sector 78 depends on the society, but expect around 4-6k for a 3BHK.
Are you sure you're not exaggerating? Maybe it feels like a lot after selling a bigger house, but maintenance charges are unavoidable. It's for security, cleaning, and all that.
Unavoidable, yes. But reasonable? That's the question. RWA ka budget breakdown maango, U5. Tab pata chalega kahan jaa raha hai paisa.
Sector 155? I heard that area is still developing. Maybe that's why the charges are high initially to cover the development costs?
I bought a flat in Sector 150 three years ago, thinking it would be a peaceful place. Now there's construction everywhere and the prices have doubled! Maintenance is reasonable though, around 5k.
Guys, check your sale agreement. It should mention the initial maintenance charges and how they can be revised. Builder ne kuch clause dala hoga.
Totally agree yaar! Sector 155 maintenance charges are insane. We're paying almost 8k a month for what? Dust and broken swings? I've complained to the RWA multiple times but no use.
8k?! Which society are you in? We're paying around 6k in Lotus Greens Broadwalk, but even that feels like a lot for the facilities we get.
